Older electronics, retro gaming systems, vintage stereos, film cameras and classic video games can sometimes be desirable second-hand finds. A working turntable, a forgotten console, or a set of vintage speakers might be exactly what someone is looking for — or exactly what you've been hunting for.
Not every old electronic item is valuable, but many are reusable. The only way to know is to look — and Thrifty Yard makes it easy to browse dozens of local sales.
Not every broken electronic belongs in the garbage. Some non-working electronics may still have usable parts, repairable components, accessories, vintage components, or materials that can be responsibly recycled.

Electronics should never go in the regular garbage. Many contain materials that require special handling, and New Brunswick has a provincial electronics recycling program that accepts a wide range of devices at no charge to residents.
Thrifty Yard is not an electronics recycling facility. We do not accept every electronic item for recycling and are not affiliated with EPRA or any recycling program. For items that cannot reasonably be reused, please follow the official recycling and disposal guidance below. Electronics should never be placed in regular garbage.
The Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) operates New Brunswick's official electronics recycling program. Residents can drop off qualifying electronics at designated collection sites across the province at no cost.

Computers, laptops, monitors, printers, TVs, audio equipment, phones, and gaming consoles are commonly accepted by provincial recycling programs. Check the EPRA site for the current accepted-items list.
